Around this time, one year ago, I released my second album Lions and Liars under Reach Records. Four years ago, I officially became an artist on the label, although my friendship with all the artists and staff predates that time. Today, I bring news that is exciting, yet surprising and full of uncertainty.
I will no longer be an artist on the Reach Records label. It’s been a wonderful four years doing business with the Reach organization, and it’s also been a pleasure to communicate the center of our joy via Hip Hop. Through the years I have established friendships that will last a lifetime, both Reach Records artists and staff.
I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to all who support my music and the other artists at Reach. I trust that the LORD will establish my plans as I commit my work to him.
It would be imprudent of me to think that this post would not bring speculation as well as gossip. I would encourage the reader to not pull out assumptions or exaggerations. That being said, here are a couple of things I would like to communicate:
- I will still be an artist with Reach Booking (www.reachbooking.com) and travel on certain group dates w/ other Reach artist thru 2011.
- I will continue to do concert dates and events thru 2011.
- I will be featured on Reach projects that will be released in 2011.
- If you have any desire to stay afloat with some of my dealings go to www.thisishigh.com.
The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.

1. Are you moving entirely into like video production stuff, like directing and acting completely?

I have been very blessed by Reach Records. It’ll be sad to see you go, but I trust that the Lord will continue to use you in mighty ways for the work of His kingdom!!! Wow, man! My initial response is that this really stinks because you are an amazing artist and I thoroughly enjoy your music! Are you still gonna do music just with another group… anyway you probably won’t be able to answer my questions nor are you obligated to give anymore details but I will surely pray for you and wish God’s will on your life and His blessings in whatever you do. You have touched many lives already!

Well, I can’t say I didn’t see this coming after peeping a few of your interviews and seeing the new ventures you were undertaking (directing, acting – both of which you seem to excel at). With that, I know that the Lord will continue to use the talents He has given you to bring Him glory! I also know that you will stay committed to the kingdom agenda and go where few Christian entertainers have gone before.

Dear Sho- if we could all heed God’s pulling on us to move on to something new and different. People get comfortable and complacent and that’s when they stop growing and become stale and useless for the cause of Christ. He is giving you an opportunity to be brave and to “bring a new song before the Lord.” Proud of you for being sensitive to HIS will for the talent that HE has given to you. Use it wisely and for HIS glory!

Just heard the interview (Podcast on why u left). I understand the aspect of creating good art and blessing the world through it. I just was a little concerned because i heard u mention that “Evangelistic Perspective” isn’t what you will be carrying. What about the Great Commision that Jesus called us as disciples for. Isn’t that what we will always be called to and the purpose we ought to carry in life? Also about going in the flow of bands like Switchfoot and others? How many lives are being saved from darkness into light through that line of music? Maybe they are, not sure but i have seen a revolution through God raising up the Reach fam. Anyways a lot of love regardless. I pray that the Holy Spirit leads you in everything you do bro.
